History of West Slope Saw & Tool Sharpening:
Previous owner, Brad Swenson bought the sharpening shop in 2013 from the Gypsum, CO based Bakke's Saw Sharpening Service. He moved it to Grand Junction, CO to service all the prior customers and to expand the customer base. For 6 years, he owned the sharpening service shop.
Jan 2020, Jonathan Hodgman and Annika Johnson bought West Slope Saw & Tool Sharpening after managing the shop for 4 and 3 years. We have been delighted to service the tools for the craftsmen and women of Western Colorado, Southern Utah and beyond. We brought on FESTOOL and SawStop when we bought the business and it has been a wonderful endeavor.

Meet the Owner Operator: Jonathan Hodgman
Owner, Sharpening Technician, Customer Service/Sales. Jonathan has been with the company since September 2015. He has studied Fire Science, Environmental Science and Business Management. Construction and wood working have also been his passion for many years.
After sharpening with the company for 4 years, in January 2020, he bought the company from his uncle Brad Swenson.
In his free time, Jonathan loves to backpack, river raft and garden.

Meet the Co-Owner Operator: Annika Johnson

Co-Owner, Office Manager, Customer Service/Sales, Quality Control, Delivery Driver. Annika has been with WSS&TS since September 2016. She has a BA in Modern Dance, and has studied ethnic dance all around the world. She has worked in construction, woodworking and bookkeeping. Annika loves gardening, watercolor painting, and river rafting.

Welcome to the Shop:
We have an inventory of high end blades for metal working & fine woodworking (cross cut & ripping wood), melamine and metal cutting blades. Our router bit selection is vast: straight, pattern, round over, chamfer, flush trim in many different sizes. We also carry biscuit cutters, planer knife sets, bearings, sand paper, and blade cleaner.
